On 13 September, to kick off the main festival.​ Folklore Festival is more than an event — it’s a safe and inclusive space for families and friends to gather, learn, and celebrate the stories that shape us.​

Friday 3 pm - 9 pm 

National School of the Arts - JHB

On 12 September, experience The National School of Arts choir, jazz and pop band warms up the festival stage on the opening night as we make space for intergenerational dialogue with CONNECTION GENERATIONS by Luyanda Madope featuring Apiwe Bubu and their Mentors Andile Yenana. A series of vinyl selectors and DJ's will also warm​

Thursday 7 pm - 11 pm

Industry Night Showcase with cultural curators, promoters, festival owners, venue owners, labels and producers.​
